The Practically Perfect Story

Our family has not always been an “Instagram Family”. Our journey into social media started with our family love of Disney (For more on this, click here) but has blossomed into so much more!

Our first trip as a family of four to Walt Disney World changed something for us. What started as a vacation quickly turned into a tradition—and then, let’s be honest… a full-blown lifestyle. Since then, we’ve taken 30+ trips, stayed at (almost) every Disney World resort, become DVC members, and made just about every mistake you can make along the way (so you don’t have to).

Somewhere in between the planning, the packing, and the “why did we think this was a good idea?” moments… we started sharing it all online.

Then came 2021.

Like everyone else, we were navigating a world that felt a little less magical. When Instagram Reels came onto the scene, we leaned in…not just to share where we were going, but how we were getting through it.

The chaos.
The humor.
The real life in between the highlight reel.

Because if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s this:

The best memories aren’t the perfectly planned ones… they’re the ones you laugh about later.

Over time, what started as sharing Disney trips grew into something much bigger…a space where we document family travel, everyday chaos, and the reality of building a life (and a brand) online.

So who are we now?

We’re a family of four navigating life, travel, sports schedules, health and everything in between…trying to hold onto the magic while keeping it real.

We share the fun, the fails, and the moments that don’t always make it into a perfectly curated square.

Because life isn’t perfectly polished…

But it can be practically perfect.

A woman sitting in front of a large red 'O' in the 'LOVE' sign with a portrait of Taylor Swift and the text 'Rock & Roll Hall of Fame' and 'Taylor Swift' in the background, with modern buildings and a clear blue sky.
Three girls and a person dressed as a giraffe mascot standing in front of a Toys 'R' Us backdrop inside a store.
Two young women standing on a red carpet, smiling, with one holding a pink gift bag and the other holding an iced beverage, in front of a building with tropical plants.
A woman and two young girls sitting on the edge of a circular fountain in a busy outdoor shopping area, smiling and enjoying the moment.
Woman with sunglasses wearing a red top and shorts, sitting in a red chair outdoors.
A family of four standing together in a hotel room decorated with gold and silver balloons and a cake on the bed.
Two smiling women standing inside a restaurant with red walls and colorful curtains overhead.
Two girls smiling and taking a selfie on a red indoor sports court. One girl has braces, and the other is wearing a gray hoodie. They appear happy and are close together.

Emphasis on practically.

Our two girls are diving headfirst into their teenage years, and we’re just trying to stay healthy, mostly sane, and soak up every moment before they fly the nest (while also wondering how it’s all going this fast).

We take on the everyday chaos with humor, heart, and a good sense of perspective—whether it’s theme parks, weekend trips to Broadway, travel sports, or Sunday family dinners at our Midwest home in Ohio.

Because behind every “perfect” moment… is real life.
And we like it that way.
